With a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($292.2 million), and after three years of construction, the Sino-Swiss Industrial Park in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing will finally open on Dec 14.
The park will mainly focus on precision manufacturing industries and draw investments from successful manufacturing nations like Switzerland to build a leading ecological, intelligent and international high-tech industrial park in western China.
It aims to attract and support enterprises with new technology, new processing skills, new material designs and strong application abilities.
Focusing on aerospace and aviation, rail transit, software engineering, automobiles, medicine and health, energy conservation, environmental protection and green energy, the park plans to form an industrial chain integrating research, manufacturing and sales.
Chongqing Fenxiang Investment Co Ltd, operator of the park, has set up operations and service systems related to investment and financing, listing guidance, market docking and intellectual property rights to accelerate the development of the park.
The park has also forged connections with 200 small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises with leading techniques and attracted more than 30 enterprises to settle in.
The park is expected to be an important platform for international cooperation, which will facilitate the opening-up process of Chongqing and Liangjiang New Area.
Liangjiang is also improving hardware construction to pave the way for the incubation of other international cooperative industrial parks, such as Sino-German, Sino-Korean and Sino-Japanese industrial parks, turing Liangjiang into a leading inland open city.
