A three-day summit forum for exhibition organizers was held at Chongqing International Expo Center (CIEC) in Liangjiang New Area on Dec 13. More than 300 companies from famous meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions and events (MICE) cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin attended the forum.

According to Song Xueli, the general manager of CIEC, the forum provides a platform for the presentation of the exhibition environment in Chongqing and domestic and international trade, as well as allowing exhibitors to share the latest industry trends and practical experience.

As introduced by Xiong Lin, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Committee of Commerce, Chongqing had been rated "China's Top Ten Influential Exhibition City", "China's Famous Festival City" and "China's Best Exhibition Destination City" for six consecutive years.

What's more, Chongqing successfully held the Smart China Expo in August this year. The CIEC, as one of the most important venues in Chongqing, has increased its exhibition area and number with a year-on-year growth of 45 percent and 35 percent respectively.

Taking CIEC as its exhibition center, Liangjiang is steadily being pushed forward and will provide a vital display platform for modern service industries.
