A delegation of 120 graduate students from Chongqing University, Southwest University, Chongqing Technology and Business University and Chongqing University of Technology visited Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing on Dec 19.
The activity taught students about the rapid development of the digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, technological innovation, smart cities and the opening-up of Liangjiang.
The tour of the planning exhibition hall of Liangjiang taught the delegation about Liangjiang's basic layout, sectorization, industrial structure and future plans.

The delegation also visited the Chongqing Bonded Commodity Display and Trading Center, Jinshan Ecool, the Liangjiang Digital Economic Industrial Park and other places that showcase the rapid development of Liangjiang.
After the tour, founders of science and technology companies such as Youloft Technology and SWS Hemodialysis Care Co were invited to offer the delegation advice on starting businesses.
Liangjiang government workers introduced the preferential policies that Liangjiang has launched to attract more talents. Members of the delegation were optimistic about Liangjiang's business environment and future and were interested in the possibility of starting a career in the area.
So far, Liangjiang has attracted a total of 383 high-level talents and built 12 professional academic workstations, 35 postdoctoral stations and 16 R&D laboratories relying on improved infrastructure, government efficiency and talent policies.

John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
