The Chongqing branch of Cloudwalk Technology Co recently set a world record with its 3D human body reconstruction technology, according to three globally authoritative datasets: Human3.6M, SURREAL, and UP-3D.
Compared with traditional 3D reconstruction technology, which requires a continuous sequence of images or images with multi-angle views, Cloudwalk is able to reconstruct 3D models based on single-frame images, lowering costs and simplifying the process.
This new technology reduced the minimum error record by 30 percent and lowered the execution speed to just five milliseconds-both of which are world records.

According to Cloudwalk, the technology can calculate the 3D shape of an object by analyzing images and equip a model of a human body with over 60,000 vertexes.
The small amount of images required makes the technology useful in many areas, such as in major shopping malls, live broadcasting platforms, image processing software, and post-production.
Cloudwalk has outperformed a number of famous companies, institutions, and universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, and Amazon. This shows that Chinese companies are starting to earn a spot on the international stage.
Liangjiang new area, home to the Chongqing branch of Cloudwalk Technology Co, strives to promote high quality development through its digital economy and attract innovative and unicorn companies, with the goal of forming a high-tech cluster.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
