The 2019 Round Table on Industrial Cooperation between China and France was held in Chongqing on July 5, with representatives from about 100 enterprises discussingsmart and green manufacturing.
Chinese and French enterprises shared their views on industrial development and explored new policies. Both sides expected more exchanges and cooperation in the future in regards to the artificial intelligence industry.
Seven industrial cooperative demonstration projects and two educational training projects were signed including one on the educational cooperation between Chongqing's Wanzhou Vocational Education Center and Schneider Electric Co Ltd in France.
Chongqing has maintained close contact with France, and to date, 41 French enterprises related to fields like the chemical industry, materials, and finance have settled in Chongqing.
In addition, Chongqing exports portable automatic data processing equipment and tablet computers to France, while importing components, forming a mutually beneficial relationship.
"Chongqing will make deeper cooperation with French enterprises in more fields," said the staff member of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
