The 2019 Smart China Expo will be held at Chongqing International Expo Center in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, from August 26 to 29. This year, the expo will focus on exhibiting the application of smart technologies in daily life.
Currently, 380 enterprises from 18 countries and regionshave confirmed their participation in the exhibition.
In addition, prominent figures including Kostya Novoselov, 2010 Nobel Prize laureate in physics, Whitfield Diffie, father of modern cryptography, Jack Ma, executive chairman of Alibaba Group, and Robin Li, chairman and chief executive officer of Baidu, will attend the expo.
The expo will create four scenario areas where visitors can experience more than 50 life scenarios of the future, such as self-service supermarkets, facial recognition machines, and autonomous vehicles, showcasing a comprehensive view of the latest in smart products and smart city concepts.
In addition, all halls in the expo center and outdoor experience zones will realize the full coverage of 5G networks. Attendees will be able to really experience the speed of 5G during the expo.
For the first time, the exhibition will be equipped with a 31-kilometer lane to improve traffic efficiency, which is also included in this year's construction plan of public transportation lanes in Chongqing's central downtown.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
