Eligibility |
1. Childless 2. Able to properly raise and educate the adopted child. 3. Not suffering from any health issue that could affect his or her ability to care for a minor. 4. Age 30 or above. |
Supporting documents |
1. International adoption application form 2. Birth certificate 3. Proof of marital status 4. Proof of employment and bank statement 5. Health certificate 6. Proof that the applicant has no criminal record 7. Official letter authorizing adoption issued by the adopter’s country 8. Personal information(ID card, eligibility, disease history, and purpose of adoption |
Application procedure |
The adopter forwards supporting documents to the Chinese Adoption Center through an approved adoption organization. The Chinese Adoption Center then sends an Adoption in China Invitation Letter to the applicant, and a Foreign Adoption Notice to the Fujian Civil Affairs Department. When the adopter receives the invitation letter, he/she arranges an adoption registration appointment with the Fujian Civil Affairs Department - and then arrives in China within three months. |
