Chongqing strives to attract high-end talents

A total of 227 projects were introduced to Chongqing during the 2019 Chongqing Talents Conference (CQTC) held in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing province.

Over 180 world-renowned scientists, university presidents, industry leaders and chief executives together with 15,000 talents attended the various summits, forums and seminars.

By hosting the Chongqing Talent Project, Liangjiang strives to create a talent cluster as the first national new area in inland provinces., This aims to support 2,000 high-end talents and 500 teams from key areas in the next five years.

Currently, Liangjiang has established 16 academicians and expert workstations, 35 postdoctoral workstations, 16 “Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas” program workstations, as well as 16 R&D labs.

With more efforts devoted to attracting investment and talents through various promotion events, Liangjiang has attracted 3,000 high level talents during the past three years, 449 of which were introduced to the new area.
