On Aug 22, the Mingyue Lake π Global Innovation Conference was held in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
Nearly 200 heavyweight guests including renowned scholars, think tank experts, entrepreneurs, and emerging startups from around the world gathered at Mingyue Lake to focus on hot topics concerning global technological innovation and to explore future development opportunities.
Sheng Xitai, chairman of Hongtai Aplus, Yu Xiaohui, president of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Adelaja Israel Osofero, an associate professor at the University of Aberdeen, and Jiang Xiaojuan, a professor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, along with other experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs, will deliver keynote speeches on new pathways and models for data circulation and new opportunities and challenges in the transfer of global technology.
A salon, a forum, and a seminar were held that afternoon. The International Science and Technology Innovation and Technology Transfer Cooperation Forum focused on technological innovation and transfer in countries such as Israel, Germany, and Singapore, as well as the cooperation models and cases of Continental AG in China.
A seminar on new opportunities, new challenges, and new ecosystems in Chinese innovation saw the participation of representatives from Tsinghua University, GCL, Trip.com, and more, who shared their insights.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
