First Automotive Works (FAW) Group, Dongfeng Motor Corp, and Changan Minsheng APLL Logistics Co recently signed an agreement in Liangjiang New Area of Southwest China's Chongqing municipality to co-establish a trans-regional vehicle trading network.
According to the agreement, the network will be a nationwide vehicle logistics service platform to provide distribution, warehousing, and other value-added services for automobile manufacturers, automobile dealers, second-hand car tradeing markets, and other related clients.
The network was first proposed by Changan Minsheng APLL Logistics Co in 2017. After two years of development, the company is now equipped with a complete business operation system and process regulation.
The agreement will allow the three companies to establish a joint venture, which will innovate in offline retail storage and transport capacity matching platforms for vehicle sales.
As one of China's most important automobile industry bases, Liangjiang now possesses nine automobile manufacturers and over 200 automobile component manufacturers with an output value of 470 billion yuan ($66.69 billion), forming a complete automobile industry chain.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
