Kawasaki (Chongqing) Robotics Engineering Co in Liangjiang's Shuitu Development Zone, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, recently cooperated with four other institutions and companies to establish an industrial internet innovation center for intelligent equipment.
The center aims to help small and medium-sized companies to transform and upgrade by carrying out cooperation in the areas of industrial internet, industrial big data, industrial cloud manufacturing, and robotics.
The center will build a device operation and management platform, which will have advantages in technology, resources and talents, and functions including internet technology innovation, device connection, data collection and device operation.
To lay a foundation for industrial system connection and industrial data transmission, the center will build an industrial internet technology and standards system for the intranet and extranet of the industrial internet.
The system can provide technology requirements for the matching of every machine and product on the industrial internet, and support the connection and data transmission of the industrial chain's every link.
Members of the center will also co-build an industrial identification resolution system, which is one of industrial internet's core infrastructures. It will give every machine and product of the industrial internet an identification mark in order to realize product life-circle management between different companies, regions and industries.
Another major task of the center is building an industrial internet security system to prevent cyber-attacks and reduce accidents.
Kawasaki is China's first Sino-Japan joint venture that both manufactures robots and develops robotic systems. It provides various industrial robots for the automobile and electronic industries.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
