The weekend's three-day hotpot festival in Chongqing is expected to draw over 100,000 people, the organizing committee said.
More than 300 hotpot brands and 1,000 industry chain merchants from all over the country are participating in the 12th China (Chongqing) Hotpot and Food Culture Festival. The festival celebrating the city's famous spicy cuisine opened Friday and closes Sunday and is being held under strict epidemic prevention and control, the committee said.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
