Chongqing Liangjiang Area Development and Investment Group Co is a large-scale State-owned investment group established in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, in July 2010.
It has a registered capital of 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) and aims to contribute to Liangjiang's major infrastructure construction, regional development and modern industrial system.
Currently, the group has 10 departments, 28 subordinate companies and six affiliated partnership firms. By the end of 2020, the group's total assets were valued at 228 billion yuan.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, the group will focus on industry and city development to become a domestic first-class city management service provider and contribute to Liangjiang's transformation into an inland gateway for opening-up and an intelligent city.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
