An industrial internet platform co-established by Tencent Cloud, Liangjiang New Area, and Beiming Digital Technology Co was officially launched in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality on April 29, becoming the first of its kind in Southwest China.
It is estimated that by the end of 2024, the platform will help 1,000 companies use cloud computing technologies, introduce at least 30 partner companies to provide localization services, attract five partner companies to invest in Liangjiang, and develop at least 100 industrial innovation applications.
Relying on Chongqing's comprehensive manufacturing system, geolographical location, the first national new area of Liangjiang, and its status as an industrial internet identifier resolution top node, the industrial internet platform is expected to offer strong policy and digital infrastructure support.
Chongqing is home to Tencent's headquarters in Southwest China. Based on its cloud computing data center, it has provided digital upgrading services to more than 100 famous companies and has launched its industrial internet base in Liangjiang last year.
Experts say that the launch of the industrial internet platform can help Chongqing's industrial companies build digital infrastructure and contribute to Chongqing's development into a city of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent technology.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
