During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 12 to 14, Liangjiang New Area's major business districts redoubled their efforts to stimulate consumption.
In Jinzhou business district, the 25-meter-high indoor waterfall and more than 70,000 plants at Guanghuan Shopping Park attracted many tourists and local residents. These people shopped and enjoyed the ecological area under the 42-meter-high glass dome.
Parents brought their children to learn about the park's various plant species. The park additionally features large dinosaur skeletons unique to Chongqing.
Also, more public space for taking photos was created in the park.
In Liangjiang's Cuntan International New City, commercial complexes such as Outlets, IKEA and Suning Plaza offered shoppers garments and furniture from renowned brands. These shopping complexes are equipped with cultural services, special catering options and entertainment activities.
When night fell over the holiday, Guanghuan Shopping Park's 3D light show began, through which people could appreciate the changing of the seasons. The show was an immersive visual experience that fused natural beauty with technology.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
