With the help of block chain technology, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality has connected the information systems of social welfare, public security, taxes, and banks, and has offered time-sharing services to residents and entrepreneurs dealing with government affairs, which has to a large extent raised the work efficiency of government officials.
Statistics show that during the first half of 2021, the number of newly registered market entities in the area totaled 12,000, an increase of 41.93 percent year-by-year.
Chongqing released a proposal on creating a world-class business environment on July 24, making clear deployments in terms of market order, laws and regulations, transparency, government affairs, and government-business relations.
The chain chief system work session was held on Aug 3 in Liangjiang, which reflected Liangjiang's determination to seize opportunities brought about by the new round of technological and industrial revolution and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
"Business environment is productivity, and everyone in the new area is a contributor to a better business environment," said Luo Lin, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Party Work Committee and director of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee.
Many top enterprises signed cooperation contracts with Liangjiang New Area during the Smart China Expo.
Liangjiang has also worked with the Jiangbei, Beibei, and Yubei districts, and has created comprehensive windows for handling government services recognized by the four regions in order to improve the lives of residents and entrepreneurs in the new area.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
