The Chongqing Liangjiang Coordinative Zone in Liangjiang New Area has cultivated, incubated, and introduced about 60 industrial projects since 2019, and applied and transferred about 100 technological achievements.

The zone is building a technology innovation and industrial cluster with the participation of universities, research institutions, and technological enterprises.

Northwestern Polytechnical University, one of the universities that signed with the zone to build a technological innovation and incubation center, has successfully cultivated Chongqing TI-MASTER High Performance Alloy Co.

The company's new factories located in the Liangjiang Aviation and Aerospace Industrial Park will be completed by the end of October and begin operating by the end of this year.

Relying on Northwestern Polytechnical University's technologies, the company will focus on high-end alloy manufacturing and processing, as well as the R&D of intelligent equipment for advanced manufacturing technologies.

The company aims to achieve breakthroughs in ultra-fine grain and high temperature titanium alloy precision casting technologies, and reduce China's dependence on importing high-end forming equipment for advanced materials.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University also established two advanced propulsion technology research centers in Liangjiang New Area and Sichuan's Tianfu New Area. Both research centers will cooperate and take about three years to complete R&D for a high-end airplane turbine engine.

In addition to accelerating the commercialization of technological achievements, Liangjiang also held innovation and entrepreneurship activities to attract high-quality projects.

In June, Liangjiang started an international innovation and entrepreneurship activity, offering 300 million yuan ($46.91 million) in supporting capital and 500 million yuan in foundation and various supporting policies.

Most of the winning projects are being incubated in Liangjiang and involve high-end intelligent manufacturing, high-end biomedicine, semiconductors, intelligent information technology, new energy, and new materials.
