The 2021 Chongqing Talent Conference concluded on Nov 21 in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality. The event was a major success, as 45 projects and 120 high-end talents were introduced to the new area through the conference.

Agreements were signed for projects involving automobiles, industrial internet, smart manufacturing and modern services, consistent with Liangjiang's development focuses. One project – Central Cloud Intelligent Vehicle (Chongqing) Auto Technology Co – will consist of a function-oriented unmanned testing monitor platform.

Chongqing Huapu Precision Machinery Co, capable of developing advanced ultrafast fibre laser sources, also signed a project agreement with the new area, and is expected to bring Liangjiang's display screen and consumer electronics industries to a new level.

Nine scientific institutions and enterprises based in Liangjiang also took full advantage of the talent conference, recruiting 120 high-level personnel. The Beijing Institute of Technology Chongqing Innovation Center, for instance, brought in 35 talents, including three people with doctoral degrees and 32 people with master's degrees.

The Chongqing Liangjiang Coordinative Zone currently boasts 38 open and international research institutions and more than 110 research teams. About 1,100 innovative talents have decided to work and live in Liangjiang.
