The 23rd National Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition and Mingyue Lake Innovation Forum kicked off in the Liangjiang Coordinative Innovation Zone in Liangjiang New Area on Dec 11.
Held by Liangjiang's administrative committee and the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, the competition has become the largest and most professional and influential robot contest.
There were a total of 13 sub-categories in three competition areas – innovation, competitive sports, and application – in the competition, in which participants' robot designs, the concepts behind them, and the applications of the robot were shown.
The forum focused on the frontier research topics, core technologies, industrial development strategies, and commercial operation patterns in the artificial intelligence sector, and introduced outstanding research teams and talent to Liangjiang.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
