The intelligent automobile technology innovation application laboratory launched by Chongqing Yunjiang Industrial Internet Co and its business partners in Liangjiang New Area has been selected as one of the six laboratories for the Alliance of Industrial Internet (AII). The lab is reportedly the first in Chongqing to carry out intelligent vehicle-related research on the industrial internet.
Under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, more than 100 entities in industry, communication and internet have formulated AII, and began constructing laboratories in 2020.
The intelligent automobile technology innovation application lab is mainly centered on optimizing procedures for production lines, production management, operation management, and supply chains, as well as the full life cycle of products. The lab has already rolled out about 10 arithmetic products, more than 200 algorithmic models, and has built three industrial software platforms.
As the first national inland open new area, Liangjiang boasts a strong industrial foundation and many policy incentives for industrial internet development.
Moving forward, the lab will seek to address bottlenecks in the auto sector, accelerate the intelligentization of the automobile industry, and reshape the sector's research, production, sales, and services in order to extend its industrial chain and stimulate innovation.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
