A financial campaign jointly initiated by the administrative committee of Liangjiang New Area and the Chongqing Office of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission was held on April 28.
The new area's technology financial service demonstration institutes were also announced during the event.
Luo Lin, director of the administrative bureau, highlighted the new area's long-term cooperation with the Chongqing Office of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission in smart finance, intelligent city, risk prevention and control and other areas.
He said he considered the campaign an opportunity to deepen exchanges and collaboration among the government, banks and enterprises, and hoped that more financial support would be given in area development, financing processes, industrial transformation, and corporate credibility. In addition, he also urged more efforts to carry out financial reform and innovation, and create more green financial products for local enterprises.
Jiang Ping, director of the Chongqing office, pledged to pay more attention to the key fields of technological innovation, open development, and city improvement, and experiment with more forward-looking practices in order to optimize Liangjiang's financial ecosystem and enhance its competence and influence.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
