The international talent community project of Shuitu New City, Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, broke ground on Aug 1.
The community is reportedly situated in the core living area of the new city, neighboring schools and industrial parks, and has relatively strong transportation infrastructure and complete supporting facilities with a total investment of 1.26 billion yuan ($186.23 million).
The project involves a construction area of 147,000 square meters and includes 15 residential buildings, with its greening rate to exceed 30 percent.
Focusing on human-nature interaction in its design, the community is expected to be an eco-friendly residence with refined operations and humane services. In addition, the talent apartment will be equipped with high-quality furniture, saving time and energy for talent.
Liangjiang in recent years has been devoted to the talent housing program by establishing high-end talent apartments in Longxing, Yufu and Shuitu new cities.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
