As people are more and more eager to obtain evenly distributed educational resources, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality has been carrying out collectivized school running reforms.
By September 2024, the collectivized school running system is expected to be applied by more than 70 percent of schools in the new area.
In recent years, Liangjiang has brought in many high-quality schools and encouraged their coordination with schools lacking educational resources in order to ensure every child has equal access to quality compulsory education.
Jinshan Primary School Education Group, for example, is currently running four campuses and has Yuanyang Primary School as its partner school.
Every year the group will transfer schools' cadres, academic leaders and young teaching faculties to ensure the educational resources are evenly distributed. In addition, forums themed on teaching research and other activities are held on a regular basis at every school. All teachers and students from these schools are granted opportunities to take part in these activities.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
