A campaign focusing on assisting technology-based firms in industrial innovation is currently underway in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
The new area has decided to cultivate and attract more technology-based enterprises, high-tech firms, specialized and new little giant corporations and listed companies to create an innovative atmosphere and allow its industries to thrive.
More measures and policies will soon be put into place to help business operators expand their production scales. Mass incubators and demonstration communities will be set up to invite more high-quality technology-based firms to the new area.
In addition, Liangjiang will introduce many other kinds of funds into its existing technology financial system and encourage research institutions and firms to conduct trainings, road shows, and lectures on a regular basis.
The new area currently is home to more than 5,000 technology-based enterprises, 1,159 high-tech firms, and 261 municipal specialized and new companies, and has established 49 high-end R&D institutes.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
