Chongqing Port Logistics Group Co, based in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, recently released 12 effective policy measures to boost the export-oriented economy of the new area.
The measures include completing and strengthening existing open platforms, deepening the application of customs clearance reform models, advancing the smart construction of Guoyuan port, further enriching the railway and water transport networks, and promoting the "finance + trade + multimodal transport" supply chain business.
As far as the land port construction is concerned, the firm will collaborate with the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone and Minsheng Shipping Co to enhance the business interaction between Chengdu and Chongqing.
The land port will enter a trial operation period this year, and is expected to run on a regular basis in 2023.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
