The Liangjiang talent service hub opened to the public on Sept 22 in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
Officials from governments of the municipality and the new area, as well as representatives from Chongqing University of Technology, the Beijing Institute of Technology Chongqing Innovation Center, and other units attended the inauguration ceremony of the hub.
The "10 rules for Liangjiang talent (2.0 version)" and the "Liangjiang talent management methods" were issued the same day, focusing on the "talent + industry + sci-tech innovation + service" model in order to incentivize high-quality local talents.
In addition, the Liangjiang government also signed a talent recruitment cooperation agreement with Chongqing University of Technology and the Beijing Institute of Technology Chongqing Innovation Center.
The new area has since last year been devoted to solving talent-related problems for its coordinated innovation zone by promoting systematic reforms, making innovations in talent attraction models, and advocating in-depth collaboration among new R&D institutions and local universities.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
