News from the modern service bureau of Liangjiang New Area suggested that over the first five days of the National Day holiday, the five major retailers in the new area reported 7.9 percent growth in sales revenue year-on-year, with the number of shoppers surging by 10.8 percent.
The shopping mania was seen in the Cuntan international new city fashion consumption area, where Shazhichuan (Chongqing Liangjiang) Outlets have rolled out a series of nighttime activities and shopping and tasting activities to attract customers during the holiday. To date, the area’s anniversary celebrations have seen over 300 million yuan ($42.24 million) in sales.
Meanwhile, a car display and promotion activity was also launched on Sept 30 in the Cuntan international new city fashion consumption area, attracting more than 300,000 visits.
