A special freight train loaded with 171 automobiles departed from Yuzui Railway Station near Guoyuan port in Liangjiang New Area on Oct 18, embarking on a 72-hour trip to Kazakhstan and marking the opening of the Kazakhstan route of Yuzui Railway Station, as well as adding to the existing China-Europe freight train routes.
According to staff members of the China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co, the railway departments have collaborated with each other and formulated detailed back-up plans to ensure the smooth operation of the freight train. Yuzui Railway Station has also established a special work group to support shipping.
"A total of 80 China-Europe freight trains have departed from our station this year, and we will continue to diversify the cargo types to facilitate international and domestic trade," said an official from Yuzui Railway Station.
