The spring wind campaign's automobile industry job fair took place at the Yufu human resources center in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Feb 8.
More than 700 positions from 24 local small and medium-sized enterprises in the automotive field were advertised, such as operators and researchers. Salaries ranged from 4,000 yuan ($590.4) to 7,000 yuan, with the highest pay being 12,000 yuan.
Supporting firms are an indispensable part in the automobile industrial chain. The job fair was mainly designed to provide sufficient human resources and related services for these companies.
"We will roll out more online and on-site job fairs like this one, based on the specific needs of enterprises," said Li Ting, general manager of the Liangjiang New Area Human Resources Co.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
