The China Broadcasting Network Co (CBN) (Chongqing) Data Center recently commenced operations in the Shuitu New City of Liangjiang New Area, located in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality. This move is in line with the national strategy of directing more computing resources from the East to the West of China.
The initial stage of the new center spans across a total area of 20,203 square meters. All the computer rooms in this phase are compliant with the international T3+ standard as well as the national A-level standard. It features a stable and reliable power environment and advanced internet data center energy saving technologies.
Now the core nodes of the center have covered the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen region, and have connected to core computer rooms of renowned internet technology companies, including Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu.
Liangjiang Suitu data port holds the distinction of being the largest of its kind in West China. In 2019, it was acknowledged as a national new-type industrial demonstration base (big data category).
Currently, 11 data centers have been established in the data port, including nine already put into operation and more than 20 large-scale platforms supporting the development of government services, finance, e-commerce, and other fields.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
