During the period from January to April of this year, Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing municipality, located in Southwest China, experienced significant growth in its software sector. The new area saw the addition of 72,000 square meters of new office space, along with the establishment of over 300 software enterprises, employing more than 4,000 workers in the software sector.

The software sales revenue in Liangjiang New Area surpassed 2.5 billion yuan ($353.75 million) during the first four months, contributing to the overall collective sales of 25.1 billion yuan.

To support this growth, Liangjiang New Area focused on maximizing the utilization of available office buildings, gathering high-quality corporate projects, expanding and optimizing application scenarios, and fostering a conducive software industrial ecosystem. Since July of the previous year, the area has successfully introduced more than 50 key software projects worth 50 billion yuan.

More than 110 smart manufacturing and intelligent government service programs were issued during the three software application scenario launch meetings held by the local government.

Furthermore, to address employment challenges, Liangjiang New Area facilitated job fairs conducted by 200 software corporations in 10 local universities. This initiative successfully resolved the employment concerns of nearly 4,000 graduates, providing them with valuable opportunities in the software sector.
