The online agricultural product shopping platform cunshop.com recently held a celebration to mark its fourth anniversary in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
In the four years since it started operating, the platform has recorded a total transaction volume of 24.87 billion yuan ($3.46 billion), as well as 7,895 registered agricultural market entities and over 110,000 online consumers.
The shopping website has been being trialed in Chongqing's six counties and districts – Fuling, Bishan, Chengkou, Wushan, Shizhu and Xiushan – providing one-stop services to new-type agriculture operators in product selling and buying, consultations, and credit. At the same time, these users will be evaluated in terms of their financial credibility, which will determine the crediting services available to them on the platform.

In a nutshell, the platform helps agricultural operators to find their target markets, services and capital, which will better determine what they will grow, how to grow it, and how to sell it.
Cunshop's nine new business partners, including banks, investment companies, supply chain management firms, and law offices, signed cooperation agreements at the ceremony.
A small-scale trade fair took place on the same day, at which products from Cunshop's 10 suppliers were promoted.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
