The "Journey to Europe" activity initiated by SERES – a competent automaker in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, began recently.
The trip will last 25 days, spanning 25 countries, including Norway, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France.
"This is the first time we have brought the company's high-end new energy vehicles (NEVs) to Europe – where the auto industry leads the world. The trip is a huge step for us towards the European market, " said Zhang Zhengping, president of SERES.
SERES' two intelligent NEV brands have been exported to several European countries, and the company has established a smart plant in Indonesia. Statistics show that the company exported nearly 500,000 cars to more than 70 countries and regions last year.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
