The unveiling ceremony for 18 Chengdu-Chongqing regional data standard trial projects was held recently by the Sichuan Provincial Big Data Center and Chongqing Big Data Development Bureau.

Two medical trial projects applied by Nanpeng Artificial Intelligence Research Institute based in Liangjiang New Area were selected among the 18.

The two trial projects are centered on tumors with high incidence rates and chronic respiratory diseases. It is expected to set up respective disease standard data systems.

Although China's healthcare research is developing rapidly, many problems are left in the medical data sharing research, such as the absence of standard data systems, especially for medical institutions from different regions.

The standardized disease data system is a significant resource for medical information integration, and is also a central approach to advancing the standardized medical work process, said a project manager from Nanpeng Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.
